Age UK is the largest charity for older people in the United Kingdom, providing services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people.
Creo has worked with the charity on numerous occasions but most recently to promote and raise awareness of its newly launched Essence Service.
The Essence Service is the first port of call for people in Sunderland who have recently been diagnosed with dementia, and those who care for them.
Age UK worked in partnership with Sunderland Carers’ Centre, The Alzheimer’s Society and many other partners across the city of Sunderland, to provide this free service, which is now making a difference to over 1,000 people across the city.
The service offers a wide range of practical support by giving information in areas around health, wellbeing and legal issues while ensuring people are aware of how to access services that are of benefit to them.
Creo supported the launch of the service by creating a number of engaging videos highlighting the impact dementia has on older people, developing a social media strategy and by compiling a series of case studies and press releases which were published by a number of regional media titles.
